Qualifications

• Official or unofficial transcripts showing 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits.
• Associates or higher degree (attach diploma).
• Meeting a rigorous standard of testing through a formal assessment of reading, writing and mathematics.
• Experience differentiating practices for diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Confer with teacher and assist in lesson preparation; directly instruct students, review coverage and comprehension of subject matter and administer tests.
• Redistribute lessons and review with students; file as necessary.
• Monitor and supervise students engaged in activities initiated by the teacher; record progress and behavior.
• Compose and format homework assignments, charts, posters, memos, newsletters and other items; maintain filing system.
• Prepare classroom materials using current office technology and equipment; production equipment as needed.
• Supervise students in the Resource Room, classroom or hallways; maintain an orderly atmosphere and promote safety.
