Job summary

LABBB Collaborative Memorial Elementary School in Burlington, Massachusetts is seeking an Elementary School Special Education Teacher Assistant to support students with significant disabilities. The role involves implementing lessons, assisting with IEPs, and using assistive devices to promote learning and independence.

Responsibilities include data collection, materials prep, and supervision across school settings, with a 35-hour work week over 11 months and a starting date in late August.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience assisting with students in special education is highly desirable.
• Ability to work with students with a variety of disabilities and behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with arrival and departure of students.
• Support implementation of data driven, culturally responsive instruction and IEPs/behavior plans.
• Prepare instructional materials and support development of independence and social skills.
• Supervise students across settings including lunch and community.
