Job summary

LABBB Educational Collaborative in Burlington, MA is hiring a Special Education Teacher Assistant to support students with significant disabilities in a multi-grade classroom at Marshall Simonds Middle School. You will assist with implementing data-driven, culturally responsive instruction and individual education plans under licensed staff supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience working with children, young adults, or in human services is desirable.
• Ability to work with students with a variety of disabilities including social-emotional, behavioral, non-verbal, non-ambulatory, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assist with arrival and departure of students.
• Support implementation of data-driven, culturally responsive instruction and individual education plans.
• Follow schedule and reassignments as needed.
• Prepare instructional materials as directed by the teacher.
• Support students’ independence, social awareness, language, and academic skills.
