Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignment.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Fingerprinting background check – non-refundable fee paid by employee.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD.
• Implement instructional or therapeutic programs for assigned students.
• Assess student learning styles and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Use various instructional techniques and technology to meet student needs.
• Work with teachers to modify regular curricula for SPED students.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings and book/equipment selection.
