Job summary

Judson School District seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher for Wagner High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher will develop and implement individualized education programs, collaborate with ARD committees, and support students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

Responsibilities include designing adaptive curricula, assessing learning styles, and coordinating with staff to meet IEP goals while maintaining compliance with district policies and ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignment.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Fingerprinting background check required (approx. $50).
• Knowledge of ARD/IEP processes and goal setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEP through ARD for each student.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development program for assigned students.
• Assess student learning styles and plan appropriate strategies and materials.
• Present subject matter using varied instructional techniques and media, including technology.
• Work with regular teachers to modify curricula and assist students with assignments.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings regularly.
• Select books, equipment, and instructional media.
