Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualifying score on the Education Testing Service paraeducator assessment.
• An associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the undergraduate level.
• Completion of a registered paraeducator apprenticeship is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials to include all special education students.
• Assist in evaluating student progress and organize individual needs.
• Administer first aid and medical assistance as required.
• Support students with personal care needs to enable participation.
• Attend meetings and trainings to stay informed on job functions.
• Communicate with teachers and parents about student progress.
• Implement behavioral plans to support safety and consistent learning.
