Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Help meet the individual needs of students, including transferring them to and from wheelchairs, lifting and positioning, and signing or interpreting instructions.
• Assist with personal care including feeding, bathroom needs, and hygiene.
• Manage behavior and intervene in crisis situations as needed.
• Develop motor skills with students in small groups and follow teacher instructions.
• Assist students in lunchroom, bus, and playground duties throughout the day.
• Keep teacher informed of any special needs or problems of assigned students.
