Job summary

The McHenry County ROE Application Consortium seeks a dedicated Support Staff/Special Education Assistant at Leggee Elementary School, Huntley, IL. Starting immediately, you’ll work 10 months full-time, assisting students with special needs and aligning daily activities with IEP goals.

Responsibilities include supervising routines, promoting safety, and supporting teachers. Requires ELS paraprofessional or PEL licensure and strong communication and basic math/computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Basic math and computer skills; general office skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist student(s) with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines.
• Follow a strict schedule and maintain student safety while school is in session.
• Support students and teachers to meet IEP goals; perform other duties as assigned.
