Job summary

The SPED aide will supervise activities, handle clerical tasks, attend trainings, and uphold confidentiality and professional standards. English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the daily program under the direction of the SPED teacher.
• Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment and materials for daily activities.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce instruction.
• Supervise outside playground activities and school events.
• Perform clerical tasks and maintain classroom organization.
• Attend staff meetings and required training programs.
• Operate and care for instructional equipment used in the classroom.
• Maintain confidentiality about students, families, and staff.
• Support the SPED teacher in other appropriate ways.
