Job summary

Scott Co R-IV School District is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional/Aide to support students with and without disabilities under a certified teacher or administrator. Responsibilities include academic and behavioral support, as well as personal care in line with IEP goals, while promoting equity and inclusion.

The role requires working in classrooms and school environments to assist with ADLs and mobility, with CPI/CPR training and district policies guiding daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits or passing Paraprofessional Assessment per MO DESE.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• CPI certification required or ability to obtain.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small-group instructional support under teacher supervision.
• Assist students in meeting IEP goals with academic, behavioral, and social support.
• Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by certified staff.
• Supervise transitions, recess, lunch, transportation and daily activities.
• Provide personal care and support with ADLs including toileting, feeding, mobility and hygiene.
