Job summary

Tulare City Elementary School District is seeking a Special Education Aide to assist students with special needs under the supervision of the building Principal. Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, monitoring progress, reinforcing instruction for individuals or small groups, and supporting behavioral and social skill development.

Ideal candidates will meet physical requirements, have at least AA/AS or 48 college units or pass the CODESP exam, and possess basic typing

Qualifications

• Must meet physical requirements to perform duties.
• Passage of CODESP Exam or 48 units from college, or AA/AS degree.
• Minimum typing ability.

Responsibilities

• Cooperates with staff to support district priorities.
• Prepare instructional materials and monitor student progress.
• Reinforce instruction for individuals or small groups.
• Assist students in various developmental areas including cognitive, motor, academic, social and life skills.
• Help manage student behavior with positive reinforcement.
