Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PAC Test (No Child Left Behind) / 48 College Hours needed.
• Previous experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in routine classroom management duties.
• Prepare instructional materials.
• Maintain classroom environment and supplies.
• Assist students with homework and test preparation.
• Implement the student's behavior management plan.
• Support students with personal hygiene needs.

Skills

Ability to work with special needs students

Ability to work with students without direct supervision

Ability to understand and implement I.E.P. requirements

Ability to deal with students in a fair but firm manner

Ability to restrain disruptive students

Ability to operate under stress

Education
