Job summary

Fulton County Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to support students and staff in classrooms or media centers, including preparation of instructional materials and small-group instruction. The role also covers daily routines, scheduling, and occasional supervision duties.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, eligibility for the Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate, and 0–1 year of experience. Training for Dual Immersion may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; must pass the GACE para assessment or have 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with a C or better, or hold an Associate's Degree or higher.
• Must be able to obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate.
• 0–1 year experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the teacher in preparing educational materials.
• Works with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assists with daily routines: distributing/collecting supplies, attendance, quizzes.
• Participates in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Assists with bulletin boards and learning centers for instruction.
• Participates in required training related to Dual Immersion Model if applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the administrator.
