Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass GACE para assessment or have 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) with a grade of C or better; an Associate's Degree or higher is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assists the teacher in preparing educational materials for students.
• Works individually with students or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assists with daily routines: distributing/collecting supplies, attendance, and grading quizzes as assigned.
• Participates in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Prepares and maintains bulletin boards and learning centers for instruction.
• Participates in required training related to the Dual Immersion Model if applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the administrator.
• Physical demands include lifting 30-50 pounds with assistance.
