Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Instructional Aide to support K-12 students, assist with IEPs, and help teachers deliver individualized instruction in classrooms and community settings.

This role rewards patience and collaboration, offers crisis-management training, and a competitive starting pay of $20–$22 per hour with offers based on experience and qualifications. Benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic skills test.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Paraprofessional/paraeducator credential preferred.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with instruction/support for children, especially in special education or behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to cultivate a supportive learning environment.
• Implement individualized instruction and behavioral interventions.
• Monitor student progress against timelines and communicate with teachers.
• Manage student behavior and support student growth.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and information.
