Fredericksburg ISD in Texas seeks an instructional aide to support students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom under a certified teacher. You will assist with instructional programs, self-help skills, behavior management, and classroom routines.

The role requires confidentiality, adherence to safety procedures, and teamwork with staff. Work days total 180, with opportunities for professional development; requires a high school diploma or GED and a Texas educational aide certificate.

Competenze

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Associate's degree or 2 years of college study.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate.
• Experience with children is preferred.

Mansioni

• Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat, orderly classroom environment.
• Assist with inventory and equipment care.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Assist students with physical disabilities, including transfers.
• Monitor and manage student behavior, including crisis response.
• Adapt interactions to each student's needs.
• Supervise students during school hours (lunch, bus, playground).
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Participate in staff development, meetings, and events.
• Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures.
