Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Associate's degree or 2 years of college study.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate.
• Experience with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat, orderly classroom environment.
• Assist with inventory and equipment care.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Assist students with physical disabilities, including transfers.
• Monitor and manage student behavior, including crisis response.
• Adapt interactions to each student's needs.
• Supervise students during school hours (lunch, bus, playground).
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Participate in staff development, meetings, and events.
• Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures.
