Fort Bend ISD is seeking an Instructional Para Staff to support students with disabilities in various settings, help implement IEPs, and assist teachers with academic, behavioral, and personal care tasks to enable access to the curriculum.

The role requires 48 college hours or a Para Professional assessment, plus preferred Texas Educational Aide Certification and ABA training. Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or passing score on the Para Professional Assessment of Knowledge.
• Texas Educational Aide Certification preferred or required to obtain once hired
• De-Escalation/Restraint Certification preferred or required to obtain once hired
• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) training preferred or required to obtain once hired
• Proficient in using Windows OS as well as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing

Responsabilités

• Assist with implementing IEPs, including academics, behavior, communication, social and personal care skills.
• Support teachers and staff in a variety of educational settings to access the curriculum.
• Record implementation of services on approved logs and collect data on IEP targets and behavior.
• Assist with personal care services as needed.
• Maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment and follow district procedures.
