Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 48 college hours or passing score on the Para Professional Assessment.
• Texas Educational Aide Certification preferred or required to obtain once hired.
• De-Escalation/Restraint Certification preferred or required to obtain once hired (district-provided training).
• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) training preferred or required to obtain once hired.
• Proficient in using Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing.

Aufgaben

• Interact with students in a variety of settings to ensure student safety and engagement.
• Assist with classroom management by maintaining alert attention regarding supervision of students at all times.
• Execute behavior strategies as identified by the teacher based on ARD documents, including approved physical restraint when necessary.
• Implement academic/functional lessons under teacher guidance in various settings.
• Assist students with personal care services (feeding, dressing, toileting, etc.).
