Job summary

Fort Bend ISD is seeking a dedicated Instructional Para Staff member to support students with disabilities across multiple settings. You will assist with IEP-driven tasks, data collection, and daily personal care activities while maintaining safety and engagement in the classroom environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, adherence to ARD plans, and use of assistive technology to facilitate learning.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform essential duties with reasonable accommodations.
• Proficient in Windows OS and MS Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Interact with students in various settings to ensure safety and engagement.
• Assist with classroom management and supervise students at all times.
• Apply behavioral strategies per ARD and use approved physical restraint when necessary.
• Assist with personal care tasks (hygiene, toileting, dressing, feeding) as needed.
• Document support and services on approved logs and maintain confidentiality.
• Support instructional materials and help with teacher-prepared activities.
