New Albany-Floyd Co Con Sch is seeking a Special Education Aide to support instructional staff and students in a classroom setting. This position reports to the Building Principal and participates in delivering targeted educational support under supervision.

Starting immediately, the role offers benefits eligibility including medical, dental, and vision plans, plus sick and personal days. Requirements include an associate degree or equivalent experience and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree or 2 years college credit or 1000 hours paraprofessional.
• Computer Skills: Internet searches, email and basic computer use.
• Physical: Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsabilités

• Assists students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts.
• Establishes and maintains effective relationships with teachers, staff and students.
• Coordinates instructional efforts with classroom teachers.
• Keeps students focused and reports issues to the teacher of record.
• Assists in organizing instructional materials.
