Job summary

Horry County Schools is seeking a Special Education Aide at Homewood Elementary in Conway, SC. The paraprofessional assists teachers with daily instruction and cares for eligible students with disabilities under the supervisor of the principal.

Responsibilities include supporting IEP implementation, small-group instruction, behavior management, and data collection. Requires paraprofessional credentials such as 60 college credits or an associates degree, with mobility and safety responsibilities

Qualifications

Candidate must meet Paraprofessional requirements: 60 college credits, an associate degree or passing para/pro work keys.
Knowledge of implementing IEPs under teacher direction.
Ability to support students with disabilities including behavioral interventions and data collection.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily instructional activities and care of students with disabilities.
Support individual or small-group instruction under teacher supervision.
Attend to personal needs and safety, including mobility and hygiene tasks.
Facilitate use of assistive technology as directed.
Escort and supervise students during arrival, transitions, and departures.
Maintain records of student performance and instructional materials.
