Job summary

Pressley Ridge is seeking a Special Education Aide – Building Support for a Day School in Pittsburgh. The role supports students with individualized education and behavioral plans within classroom and community settings, including crisis de-escalation and AS needed.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and experience working with children. Comprehensive benefits are provided as part of a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires a valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Requires experience working with children.
• Clearances required by applicable regulations (State Police, FBI, Child Abuse Clearances, Mandated Reporter training).

Responsibilities

• Assist program staff in implementing individual education and behavioral plans.
• Support students in daily lesson plans and routines.
• Maintain written records and daily ACCESS notes.
• Communicate with team members regarding student programming and progress.
• Follow safety and crisis protocols and assist with crisis de-escalation when needed.
