Job summary

The Day School at The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh is seeking a dedicated Teacher’s Aide to support students with special needs. You will work with classroom teams, behavioral specialists, and therapists to help students meet their educational goals in a nurturing setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with instructional materials, preparing the day, and providing personal care and mobility support as needed. A collaborative school culture welcomes you.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year or more of experience working with children.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (will provide training).
• Clearances: FBI, Act 34, Act 33
• State Act 34-Criminal and Act 33-Child Abuse clearances

Responsibilities

• Assist students to use instructional materials and equipment.
• Help Teacher get ready for the school day.
• Perform necessary personal care for students.
• Assist with feeding, lifting, positioning and toileting as needed.
• Support students in all areas of The Day School as directed
