Job summary

Rule ISD is seeking a Paraprofessional Aide/Special Education Aide to support students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher. The position involves classroom preparation, managing duties, and defusing disruptive behavior to refocus students.

Reporting to the Principal, with collaboration from the Counselor and Special Education Director. The role includes covering other classes, assisting with individual learning routines, and providing instructional support.

Qualifications

• Desired qualifications include: Experience maintaining confidentiality in the workplace.
• Experience in serving as the receptionist and assistant registrar where students personal information is not visible.
• Overseeing students in ISS, D-hall, and lunch detention.
• Filing, answering the phone, organizational skills, professional etiquette in the workplace.
• Serving as a substitute for teachers.

Responsibilities

• Covering other classes and duties as needed.
• Helping special learners with their individual learning routine.
• Helping teachers provide instructional support to students in the classroom as well as for students that require more in depth attention.
• Carrying out other duties as assigned.
• Facilitate special education needs on campus by reading tests, administering tests, assisting with work, and helping with student pullout requirements.
