Job summary

Sylvania in Tucson, AZ is hiring to support students with disabilities in an IEP-led setting. The role provides tutoring, personal care, and occasional medical tasks under licensed supervision. Expect Medicaid billing duties and straightforward administrative work in a 9-month, 35-hour/week schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (online training not accepted)
• Able to receive CPI certification within 6 months of employment
• AZ Driver’s License
• Finger Print Clearance
• Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that meets minimum requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, supportive environment for students with special needs.
• Accompany and assist students during the school day per IEP.
• Provide tutoring/remediation 1:1 or small groups under a certified teacher.
• Transcribe materials into Braille as needed.
• Assist with self-care activities and mobility as required.
• Perform medical tasks under licensed providers' direction.
• Maintain records and Medicaid billings.
• Assist with administrative duties and data entry.
• Coordinate scheduling, paperwork, and meetings with parents.
• Support proctoring state testing and monitor objectives.
• Grade student work and record goals/grades.
