Job summary

Sylvania in Marana, AZ seeks an Education Support Specialist to assist students with disabilities and support IEP goals. You will provide a safe learning environment, accompany students, and offer tutoring in 1:1 or small group settings under a certified teacher.

Some duties may include transcribing materials into Braille and assisting with self-care tasks as needed. Responsibilities include maintaining records, Medicaid billing, coordinating with teachers and parents for IEP, CST, and MET

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
• Fingerprint Clearance.
• Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that meets minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive environment for students with special needs.
• Accompany students throughout the school day as required by the IEP.
• Provide tutoring/remediation, 1:1 or small groups under a certified teacher.
• Transcribe instructional materials into Braille as needed.
• Assist with self-care tasks and basic medical duties under licensed providers.
• Maintain required records and Medicaid billings.
• Assist with IEP/meeting logistics and related paperwork.
