Job summary

Achieve Beyond is seeking a dedicated Special Education ABA Instructor in Long Island, NY to support children birth to 21 across homes, community sites, and clinics. You will implement ABA plans, train families, and monitor progress with a collaborative clinical team.

The role offers a flexible schedule, with starting wage $52.00-$58.00 per hour, and access to a paperless system, clinical supervision, and comprehensive benefits. Prior NYS licensure or certificates are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for working with children and families.
• NY State certifications/licenses as listed (Birth-2, Permanent, TSHH, TSLD, LMSW/LCSW)
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 in natural settings.
• Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings: client homes, daycare, preschools, clinics, community settings.
• Follow and document progress on the individualized therapy plan.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain child records in HIPAA-compliant manner.

Job Responsibilities For a Special Education ABA Instructor

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements For a Special Education ABA Instructor

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• One of the following NYS certifications/licenses:
• Students with Disabilities (Birth 2) Initial or Professional Certification
• Permanent Special Education Certification
• TSHH Permanent Certification
• TSLD Initial or Professional Certification
• NYS Licensed Master Social Worker
• NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: $52.00-58.00

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Special Education ABA Instructor Job interview process.
