Achieve Beyond is seeking a dedicated Special Education ABA Instructor for Nassau, NY. Join a team delivering pediatric therapy across homes, clinics, and community settings, with flexible scheduling to meet families’ needs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical supervisors and ongoing documentation of progress. You will provide evaluations and ABA services for children birth to 21, educating families on intervention strategies and maintaining HIPAA-compliant records.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about working with children and families.
• NY certs/licenses listed in requirements, e.g., Birth-2 SPED or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel to Nassau/Suffolk and work in homes, clinics, and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and evaluations for ages birth-21 in natural settings.
• Educate families on intervention strategies to promote carryover.
• Work in client homes, daycare, preschools, clinics, and community sites.
• Follow therapy plan, plan ongoing treatment, and document progress.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain child records with HIPAA compliance.
• Submit required records within established timelines.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• One of the following NYS certifications/licenses:
• Students with Disabilities (Birth 2) Initial or Professional Certification
• Permanent Special Education Certification
• TSHH Permanent Certification
• TSLD Initial or Professional Certification
• NYS Licensed Master Social Worker
• NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate

$52.00-58.00

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Special Education ABA Instructor Job interview process.
