Job summary

Achieve Beyond is seeking a dedicated Special Education ABA Instructor in Bronx, NY. The role involves delivering pediatric therapy services across homes, clinics, and community settings, following individualized therapy plans and documenting progress for children up to 21 years old.

You will collaborate with a team of therapists and supervisors, educate families on intervention strategies, and participate in a flexible schedule across multiple NYC boroughs.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for working with children and families.
• Flexibility and willingness to work in diverse settings (home, clinics, schools).
• Ability to travel to assigned cases as needed and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations for children birth-21 years in natural settings.
• Educate families on intervention strategies to support carry-over at home and in the community.
• Work in homes, daycare centers, preschools, clinics, and community settings.
• Follow therapy plans and document progress, prepare reports, and maintain records with HIPAA compliance.

Job Responsibilities For a Special Education ABA Instructor

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements For a Special Education ABA Instructor

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• One of the following NYS certifications/licenses:
• Students with Disabilities (Birth 2) Initial or Professional Certification
• Permanent Special Education Certification
• TSHH Permanent Certification
• TSLD Initial or Professional Certification
• NYS School Psychologist Provisional or Permanent Certification
• NYS Licensed Master Social Worker
• NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: $56.00-63.00

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Special Education ABA Instructor Job interview process.
