• Collaborate with administrators, teachers and service providers to ensure safe, professional program activities.
• Participate in program and professional development activities in accordance with laws and regulations.
• Work with students to implement program goals.

Job Description

Special Education 2:1 paraprofessional to work with students in a grade 2 general education classroom setting.

Must work well as a team and bring a positive energy to the job each day.

Must be comfortable with supporting daily life tasks including toileting and feeding.

• Essential DUTIES:
• Actively participate in the educational program and help in classroom management, lesson planning, and recording of student data, as requested.
• Facilitate students' travel from classroom activities and appointments by giving specific directions and monitoring independent travel.
• Participate in staff and /or unit meetings as appropriate.
• This position will require supporting students 2:1.
• Monitor all activities to ensure the safety and well-being of students and inform the teacher of any problems, conflicts and/or issues.
• Work cooperatively with the team, including school administrators, teachers and related service providers to ensure that program activities are conducted in a safe and professional manner.
• Actively participate in program and professional development activities in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Work with students to implement program goals.

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $29 Per Hour
