The Wall Street Journal is seeking an experienced digitally minded news professional for a short-term contact to work on enterprise journalism.
In this role you will partner with our enterprise and investigations teams on high profile projects. The special editor must have a solid understanding of what makes something a Wall Street Journal story and be able to deliver on all aspects of an article from reporting to editing to publication.
In this role you will demonstrate strong writing skills excellent news judgment a close eye for detail solid organizational and prioritization skills and an exceptional ability to manage content as well as your time.
You will :
Pitch and execute high-impact stories
Collaborate with reporters and editors within the WSJ newsroom
Uphold Dow Jones standards and ethics.
Understand the core audiences of The Wall Street Journal and the kinds of articles that resonate with them.
You have :
A minimum of 10 years experience in producing high level journalism
A well-honed sense of urgency along with a capacity to remain calm under pressure.
The ability to prioritize tasks and time while handling multiple responsibilities.
A collaborative mindset and a finely honed awareness of how a newsroom works
