Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides direct instruction to students with disabilities.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to meet each pupil's IEP.
• Assesses student progress using tests and observations and provides progress reports.
• Conducts education assessments.
• Communicates with parents through conferences and IEP meetings.
• Maintains accurate records and case files as required by policies and laws.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in staff development.
• Contributes to planning instructional goals for students with disabilities.
• Follows safety precautions to protect students and materials of instruction.
• Communicates with students regarding academic and behavioral expectations.
• Promotes a positive, welcoming atmosphere to encourage collaboration.
