Qualifications

• Knowledge of special education regulations and current trends for students with disabilities.
• Ability to use technology and data analysis software.
• Ability to engage diverse parents/guardians with varied communication styles.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct instruction to students with disabilities.
• Develops lesson plans and provides individualized and group instruction per IEP.
• Assesses student progress with tests and observations; provides progress reports.
• Conducts education assessments.
• Communicates with parents through conferences and IEP meetings.
• Maintains accurate records and case files as required.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in staff development.
• Implements instructional goals and methods for students with disabilities.
• Ensures safety of students and materials.
• Promotes a positive, collaborative learning environment.
