Job summary

State of Missouri seeks a Substitute Teacher for Missouri Schools for the Severely Disabled. You will design and implement individualized education programs, assess learning styles, and select appropriate activities to support students' goals.

The role requires active participation in IEP team meetings, coordinating behavioral and communication supports, maintaining a safe, confidential classroom, and keeping CPR/First Aid certifications current.

Qualifications

• Candidates must meet Missouri DESE certification requirements or eligibility.
• Relevant substitute teaching qualifications recognized by DESE.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certifications kept current.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized education programs for students with disabilities.
• Analyze learning styles and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Select age-appropriate, functional activities and safe materials for instruction.
• Conduct IEP meetings and coordinate behavioral support plans.
• Maintain a safe and confidential learning environment; follow program policies.
