Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university.
• Texas certification in Elementary or Secondary Education.
• Texas certification in an area of special education preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• Ability to provide staff development, integrate technology into lessons, use manipulatives to develop concepts, develop/write curriculum, and collaborate with district personnel.
• Strong knowledge of state testing program including accommodations.
• Demonstrated skill in leading, motivating, coaching and teaching other teachers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct coaching and staff development sessions, model lessons, and assist teachers with TEKS implementation for secondary mathematics.
• Attend and contribute to campus team planning sessions.
• Consult with campus staff to interpret TEKS, analyze math assessment results, and plan instruction based on data analysis.
• Assist in development of assessments aligned with content and TEKS for classroom instruction.
• Observe and provide feedback to teachers through peer coaching.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to address identification needs and staff development initiatives.
• Mentor new and/or struggling teachers to support staff development.
