Job summary

Rochester High School is seeking a Special Education Resource Room / Noon Recess Building Paraeducator to support students with disabilities. This part-time role follows the 2026-27 calendar and pays $16.42 per hour under the current master agreement.

Responsibilities include assisting with instruction, behavior support, mobility, daily living activities, and collaboration with special educators. The position requires confidentiality, reliability, and strong attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or two years of higher education with transcripts.
• Associate's degree or higher allowed; transcripts required.
• Pass state/local test meeting NCLB requirements (example: ParaPro or MTTC).
• Experience with disabilities preferred; ability to interact with students, parents, staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily instructional activities per learning plans.
• Support physical mobility and daily living activities.
• Follow behavior management programs as prescribed.
• Create and modify instructional materials with teacher input.
• Supervise students during activities outside the classroom.
• Maintain classroom materials and prepare instructional resources.
