Qualifications

• 60 hours of college credit and passed ParaPro or DESE 20-hour substitute cert preferred
• Missouri substitute certification preferred
• Experience with young people and prior school setting experience desired
• Experience with educational applications (copying machine and computer skills) desired

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with classroom organization and managing students
• Prepare teaching materials and reinforce instruction per teacher
• Implement district policies and IEPs for assigned students
• Perform clerical tasks and protect confidentiality of student information
• Meet or escort students at designated times and accompany students as needed
• Support paraprofessional role as outlined in IEPs and provide required care tasks
