Job summary

Poudre School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional at Linton Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. You will provide instructional and physical support to students with significant needs, assist with personal care, and help both special education and general education teachers implement accommodations and goals.

Responsibilities include behavior support, data collection, safety, and collaboration with nursing and staff to ensure student success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience.
• Experience working with special needs students preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training within 3 months of hire.
• Special Education Paraprofessional Academy classes (5 in first 2 years of hire).

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers by implementing instruction and adapting materials for students with significant support needs.
• Implement behavior intervention strategies and de-escalate crises.
• Monitor students in classrooms and during transitions, enforce safety procedures.
• Provide hands-on support with hygiene, feeding, mobility, and health care plans.
• Maintain records on student behavior and progress for IEP meetings.
