Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of related experience preferred
• Experience working with students with special needs is a plus
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable

Responsibilities

• Assist general or special education teachers with instructional support.
• Implement behavior strategies and support safety procedures.
• Monitor students in classrooms and during transitions.
• Provide personal care and health-related assistance as needed.
• Use assistive technology and communication devices when required.
• Maintain records on student progress and interventions.
• Collaborate with staff to implement IEP goals and crisis plans.
