Job summary

Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District's David Prouty High School in Spencer, MA, is seeking skilled Special Education Paraprofessionals to join our team. The paraprofessional will provide 1:1 academic, social, emotional, and behavioral support to a child with disabilities within a special education classroom.

Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders is preferred. Responsibilities include implementing behavior plans, supporting instruction, and promoting positive social interactions

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate of Arts or Science Degree or higher preferred.
60 undergraduate college credits required.
Must meet state paraprofessional assessment score.

Responsibilities

Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
Assist with classroom activities.
Supervise students and the completion of instructional materials.
Manage individual and classroom behavior.
Supervise students on field trips.
Perform other support services and related duties as requested by the Building Principal.
