Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher; 48 college credits or ParaPro/Work Keys completed.
• Demonstrated interest in education and working with children.
• Emotional maturity and stability for special education work.

Responsibilities

• Assist assigned student(s) with physical tasks and movements.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Help devise strategies to reinforce skills tailored to each student.
• Establish supportive, respectful student relationships while maintaining boundaries.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, play periods and field trips.
• Assist with playground, lavatories, cafeteria and bus loading supervision.
• Assist with lunch, snack and cleanup routines.
• Participate in in-service training.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
