Job summary

Livermoreschools is seeking a Paraeducator – Special Education to support instructional programs and assist in supervising and teaching students with special needs in classrooms or self-contained settings.

You will adapt activities, monitor progress, and assist in implementing IEP plans while maintaining safety and providing written observations to staff. Strong teamwork and communication are essential, with a focus on helping students reach academic goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in education preferred.
• Familiarity with basic classroom routines and procedures.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials under supervision to support objectives.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers and staff.
• Assist students individually or in groups during instructional activities.
• Prepare instructional materials and maintain records and supplies.
• Ensure safety and supervise students in various school environments.
• Support teachers in curriculum implementation and classroom management.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required.
