Job summary

Raceland-Worthington Middle School is seeking a Paraeducator to assist a certified teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups, especially for students with disabilities. You will monitor progress, support classroom activities and help implement IEPs.

Starting date is immediate. The role involves transporting students, preparing materials, and collaborating with parents and staff to support student success in a dynamic middle-school setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; progress toward GED acceptable under KY law.
• One year experience working with children in an organized setting.
• Complete Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment (KPA) exam or hold an Associate Degree / 64 college hours.

Responsibilities

• Tutor individuals or small groups and monitor student progress as directed by the teacher.
• Participate in an instructional team and maintain progress records.
• Transport students to activities and assist in preparation for treatment.
• Prepare and organize lessons; administer tests as directed by the teacher.
• Monitor and report student behavior and safety following approved procedures.
