Job summary

San Lorenzo Unified School District is seeking a Paraeducator Special Ed Level II to provide instructional support for students with moderate to severe disabilities. You will assist with learning activities, toileting, feeding, positioning and health monitoring under the direction of an assigned administrator.

The role involves assisting with IEPs, adapting lessons, and supporting students in both classroom and community settings, including sensory and motor activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year experience working with individuals with special education needs preferably in an educational environment.
• Knowledge of special education needs and ability to implement IEP goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, preparation, and reinforcement of learning materials and IEP goals.
• Assist students with independent living skills and personal hygiene.
• Assist in transporting students and supporting activities in various settings.
• Monitor and assist students to develop motor and coordination skills.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and administer tests as assigned.
• Observe, manage, and model behavior to ensure safety and conduct.
