Chandler Unified School District is seeking a Paraeducator for Special Education in the Resource setting, supporting students with high-incidence disabilities and assisting the licensed teacher.

The role is full-time at 6.5 hours per day with a starting wage of $17.32 per hour; calendar includes 1902 FT/184 work days, 11 paid holidays. Benefits include PTO, retirement, health and life insurance, wellness, and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Title 1: Associate's Degree or 60 semester hours or AZ parapro exam.
• CPR/First Aid certification provided.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer software.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.
• Physical requirements: lift 10–30 lbs., manual dexterity, good vision and hearing.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support under the supervision of the special education teacher.
• Support students with varying disabilities in inclusion/resource settings.
• Supervise students during activities and ensure safety and well-being.
• Maintain orderly classroom operations and confidentiality of student information.
• Respond promptly to student needs and collaborate with the teaching team.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to perform additional duties.
