Job summary

Alliance Public School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional – Level 2 to support students with disabilities and promote independence within curriculum access. Reporting to a Building Principal, you will implement IEP goals and provide personal care and behavior support under a certified teacher's supervision.

You will assist with daily instructional routines, supervise students in non-instructional settings, participate in professional development, and help prepare classroom

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Physical ability to support student mobility and transfers.
• Willingness to complete training such as behavior intervention, CPI, first aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students with disabilities, assisting with daily instructional routines and personal care as directed by a certified teacher.
• Reinforce IEP goals and accommodations; document student progress as requested by supervising staff.
• Supervise students in non-instructional settings (playground, cafeteria, hallways, study halls) and report concerns according to district policies.
• Assist with classroom materials organization and participate in professional development and staff meetings.
• Support classroom behavior management and contribute to a structured, engaging learning environment.
• Assist with field trips and community-based instruction, including student safety and mobility.
