Job summary

Central York School District is seeking a Full-Time Special Education Instructional Assistant- Intensive Learning Support at Central York Middle School in York, PA. The role focuses on supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth under certified staff supervision.

Responsibilities include facilitating activities, assisting with IEPs, administering quizzes, setting up learning activities, and monitoring student behavior across classrooms and during transitions.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary study (48 credits) or an Associate degree or higher.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI background checks within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide and facilitate activities for all in the assigned subject area.
• Assist students with IEPs and keep students focused and on-task; monitor behavior.
• Prepare students with IEPs for quizzes and tests; study sessions and review.
• Administer quizzes/tests per IEP under guidance of teachers.
• Attend/participate in IEP and team meetings.
• Set up learning activities; provide one-on-one assistance and tutoring.
• Teach learning strategies to individuals and small groups.
• Record assessment data for students with special needs.
• Monitor student supervision in hallways and at meals.
• Provide services in the community/work environments for learners with disabilities.
