Qualifications

• Requires at least two years of post-secondary study (48 credits) or an Associate's degree or higher.
• Must meet PDE requirements or pass local assessments (Credential of Competency or CAPE).
• Maintain 20 hours/year of professional development for the role and obtain required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support in assigned subject areas and to individual or small groups.
• Assist students with IEPs; monitor behavior and help with completing tasks.
• Prepare students for quizzes/tests and conduct or assist with assessments under supervision.
• Participate in IEP and team meetings as required; support learning activities and data collection.
• Develop and implement learning activities and learning strategies for individuals or small groups.
• Record assessment data for students with special needs and supervise students as needed.
