Spectrum Center Schools and Programs in Pittsburg, CA, is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students in a Special Education program (Grades K-12). You will assist with implementing IEPs, provide classroom and community-based supervision, and help students reach personal goals through individualized instruction and positive behavioral strategies.

Patience, empathy, strong communication, and collaboration with teachers and families are essential. Starting rate is $20.02 per hour.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent with basic skills test.
• Associate degree or higher in education or closely related field preferred.
• State driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• Crisis management training certification required or obtainable.
• Paraprofessional/paraeducator credential preferred.
• Experience with children in special education or behavioral health settings.
• Experience with autism, learning disabilities, and related behaviors.
• Able to drive/ride with students in a company van.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and instructional technology.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with teachers to create a welcoming, high-achieving learning environment.
• Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral interventions on-site and in community settings.
• Monitor students during lessons, ensure instructional fidelity and apply targeted strategies.
• Track student progress and communicate with teachers on outcomes.
• Manage student behavior with consistent discipline in collaboration with teachers.
• Support students in developing community, vocational, leisure, and social skills.
• Document student behaviors and performance; report observations.
• Assist with behavioral reports and daily activity logs.
• Communicate with staff and families regarding student needs and progress.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.
• Participate in accreditation activities and meetings.
• Respond to feedback and pursue professional growth.
• Perform additional responsibilities to support student success.
