Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work with special education students based on IEP needs
• Provide information to teachers for instruction/reinstruction
• Assist students individually or in groups with lesson assignments
• Anticipate and intervene in potentially unsafe behaviors
• Supervise students during transitions, breakfast, lunch, and activities
• Follow district procedures for seclusion and restraint using de-escalation techniques
• Support students' participation in classroom activities
• Provide personal and health care support as needed
• Maintain physical stamina for continuous movement and lifting up to 50 pounds
